Bottom Line

...Finance, Matters.

Remember, summer is a tough time for churches because many people are on vacation or off enjoying the rare sunshine (or both), and most people do not give when they do not attend.

The expenses of ministry do not take a vacation.

Mosaic is God's A-Team solution for the Issaquah, Eastside, and Seattle areas... there is no Plan B.

Please consider and pray about beginning to tithe, and supporting Mosaic by using the online option at www.whatismosaic.com
where on the right side of  the page is a "Give Online" button. Thank-you for your obedience and generosity!

Acts 29 - The Continuing Story

The final word to us from the last, written, chapter of Acts is that the "Acts of the Apostles" are continuous to this day until Jesus comes back for His church.

How do we follow Paul's example, and in the footsteps of the Apostles, on the path of the Way?

What does that look like, especially to others who would see us, that would cause them to call us "Christians"?

How are we following Him daily, in all of our interactions with all of our communities?

What choices do we make to stay on the Way?

Opportunity to Make a BIG Difference!

Rachel has brought to our attention that we have a community family in serious need, with only $6 to feed 3 people and 2 kittens.

Let's help the family by bringing groceries for them from the below list of suggested items.

Rachel will deliver groceries on Sunday, so if you can help, please let her know (by direct email) what, from the list, you will bring on Sunday, or coordinate with her for delivery. By each bringing a little, we can make a HUGE impact for this family.

Also, during the week if you are making dinner, and can make the same dish to freeze for another family, Rachel can provide a recyclable container to put it in. Just let her know if you can do this tonight (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday) night, or after, as will still have ongoing needs for awhile.

Please help with the basics, before getting creative and fancy! Thanks everyone!

After Acts
Upcoming series:
Reel2Real will be starting, next week!

This is the message series where we use movies as parables to connect the truths of the Bible with our lives... in much the same way that Jesus used everyday ideas and situations to help people understand who God is and how to experience life to the fullest.

To get ready for the series, you might want to rent or go see the following films:
Inception
Alice in Wonderland
Eclipse
Shrek 4
A-Team

Think about it, this list includes: a "chick flick", a kids' movie, sci-fi, suspense, and a total guy movie! (If you're not sure which movie fits which description, then spend some quality time in the cinema.)

Invite your friends to check out the movie, and then to check out Mosaic.
Build Something Meaningful
As Joel Atwood is fond of asking,
"Does anyone want to swing a hammer?"

Then join us to help with the

As you can see on their website, several of the upcoming events are already "Full" with others listing the "Sign Up" button, even when that is for the "waitlist only" option. (Please double-check to confirm changes after obtaining our reference info below.)

In Pocket?
One of the ways for you to follow along, even if you are not with us in person, is to use the Internet tool of "youversion."

Youversion offers a downloadable Bible for your phone, and through that software you can access Live Events associated with Mosaic.

There is one for a weekly Thursday morning men's group and there will be one for our Sunday gatherings as well.

Just go on the youversion site and click on the "community" tab. Then search for "groups" by using the phrase Mosaic Seattle.

Check it out at this link! See you this Sunday.
Build Community & Connect by Serving!
If you'd like to join or start a group near you just let us know by emailing Mosaic Groups.

Groups can be simple gatherings of about 8 to 20 people that get together to share some food and honest discussion about how to live life better. Groups range from topical discussions such as relationships to systematically exploring sections of scripture. There are no prerequisites about "knowing the Bible" or sharing personal stuff.
------------------------------------------------
You can further connect to Mosaic by serving somewhere in one of the various ministry opportunities.

You can play with expensive technical equipment, hang out with kids or teenagers, make people feel welcome, mentor others, or whatever you are passionate about doing.

Let's talk about what you want; start by emailing Mosaic Serve.

Use new website for Internet speed tests
Your Internet download speeds may feel more sluggish that promised, the reason may be geographic rather than technological. Washington State Department of Information Services has launched a new website for you to test download and upload speeds, and compare to advertised speeds.

Launching a new section of the Washington Broadband Mapping Program, the department has added new features to include a statewide interactive map (with 13 data layers), and a speed test application for users, found at wabroadbandmapping.org

Enjoy.
