Mission is why the
Church exists.
The Church was never meant to be static. She is to move ahead in the cause of connecting people to Christ. If the Church loses its sense of purpose then it is just a club. As followers of Christ, we are on mission, in commission with God. Mission provides the direction for our lives.
[Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8]

Love is the context for mission.
We are on mission not just to increase numbers but because God passionately loves people that are not in relationship to Him. Therefore, we love them also. It was Gods love for us that sent Jesus Christ into the world. We experience the love of God, and reflect the essence of who God is, when we are in loving relationships. At Mosaic, we affirm that no one is to stand alone.
[Genesis 2:18, John 13:34-35, Mark 12:30-31, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3]

Structure must always submit to Spirit.
As the body of Christ, each of us has an essential role. In the context of community, we encourage one another to discover the joy of serving with our unique gifts. Serving with our God-given abilities forms a framework for our mission. The spiritual make up of the people radically affects the structure of ministry.
[1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 4:16]

Relevance to the culture is not optional.
If no one understands the message, we are only making noise. We are called to understand the attitudes, values, and needs of the community in which we live. Jesus Christ came into the world in the context of the culture of that time. God moves us to become an authentic expression of Christ in the current culture.
[1 Corinthians 9:19-22, John 4:1-24]

Creativity is the natural result of spirituality.
God is the ultimate creative being and He created us in His image and likeness. God has planted a divine potential within each of us. As we respond to God's invitation into community with Him, we discover our God-given potential and creativity.
[Genesis 1:27, Jeremiah 33:2-3, Acts 4:13, Isaiah 43:18-19]
