Mosaic is concluding our journey through this epic story about seeing into the future. Who Cares? Be honest, don't you sometimes wonder? When people talk about "God stuff" and when you read about religion, don't you ever want to ask, "so what?" or "who cares?" Well... you should. The message of Mosaic and, we believe, the message of Jesus, is that you have worth and were meant to live a life that matters. Perhaps an even better question is, "what do you care about?"

The heroes of the Book of Nehemiah are the people... moms, dads, shopkeepers, teachers, builders, civil servants... everyday people. They're heroes because they collectively become aware of the need for full life through transformation. Many of us sense that we were meant for something more but we fear doing anything about it because change is scary.

The funny thing about vision is as you get closer to something, the view often changes. History records claim that a man named Nehemiah and an extraordinary group of people built a wall. Once that was accomplished, the perspective changed. People looked at "the wall" for a long time, and then began to look at their hearts. What they saw led them to see a new future for themselves and for humanity.

As we continue our journey in the historical book of Nehemiah, our story parallels what is happening in Jerusalem. We are getting a picture of what our hearts, minds, and future should look like. Nehemiah is trying to build the wall! He has to work with all kinds of people - matching there skills with what needs to be done. God is also at work, building His vision in the world - does your vision align with what He's doing? When we compartmentalize our life, our lives are not fully integrated. We don't work together well and our vision gets clouded. God works with people across ethnic, socioeconomic, and gender boundaries - bringing us together, integrating us into his vision for the world. There is a place for everybody - embrace yours!
